MEMORIAL GARDEN REGISTRATION

MEMORIAL GARDEN NOW OPEN

The Neurosurgery Kids Fund Memorial Garden was officially opened in the summer of 2022 at the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens. The memorial garden was a collaborative project of the Neurosurgery Kids Fund, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens and the Vaage Family in order to honor those children who lost their lives due to a condition of their brain or spine. The sculpture holds a special place for each child’s name that was submitted to the Neurosurgery Kids Fund by their family. This beautiful and touching tribute to these very special children was created by Kyle Walton and his team at Hammer & Forge. The sculpture is designed to represent the strength of the children and their families while honoring the beauty and joy of a childhood that was much too short.

If you would like to have your child’s name added to the memorial garden, please fill out the form found here. Names will be added to the Memorial Garden sculpture once a year in a spring ceremony. Families will be notified when their child’s name is accepted to be added to the garden and gain in the spring when the names are added. Names should be submitted by immediate family members only please. There is no cost to add your child’s name, however if you wish to donate to the Memorial Garden in honor of your child, please follow this link to donate to the Neurosurgery Kids Fund. If you have any questions, please email memorialgarden@neurosurgerykidsfund.com.
