The Neurosurgery Kids Fund (NKF) is made up of various professionals who are dedicated to serving babies, children, and adolescents with neurosurgical conditions who have been treated at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, Canada.

Our goals are to enhance the lives of children, support their families and provide world-class neurosurgical care.
MISSION
Our mission is to help our pediatric neurosurgical patients and their families navigate their medical journey with as much support, information, and resources that we can provide.
DESCRIPTION
All funds raised by the NKF go directly to programs and initiatives that improve the quality of life of those affected by pediatric neurosurgery.

DR. VIVEK MEHTA
Pediatric Neurosurgeon
Dr. Mehta joined the Stollery Children’s Hospital and University Hospital in 2001. He specializes in both pediatric and adult neurosurgery.
WENDY BEAUDOIN
Pediatric Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner
Wendy is the NP for the pediatric neurosurgery services. She is the Director of the Pediatric Head Shape & Shunt/Hydrocephalus Clinics. Wendy is also a Co-Director for Camp Everest & L’il Everest.
MELISSA DASILVA
Registered Nurse
Melissa is the Community Initiatives Director for the NKF. In addition to being a general systems ICU nurse, Melissa is the primary contact for many of our community fundraisers and NKF hosted events throughout the year.
AARON VAAGE
Business Owner
Aaron is a businessmen who has a particular interest and desire to improve the quality of care for the pediatric neurosurgery population. He is one of the principal funders of the NKF.
